Frequently asked questions
- Are your paintings hand-painted or printed?
- All our Van Gogh reproductions are hand-painted in oil on canvas. You will not only see, but also feel and smell the brush strokes. Just like the original Van Gogh paintings.
- What are your delivery times?
- When the painting you want to order is in stock ("Now in Stock" mentioned where you select size) we usually send it the day after your order and estimated delivery outside of Europe by DHL is 3-4 days later.
Please view the Van Gogh reproductions in stock by clicking here.
When the painting of your choice is not in stock, delivery usually takes 6 - 7 weeks.
- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.
This video may help to select the right frame at your local framer.
- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

Red Poppies and Daisies replica in oil on canvas
Van Gogh Studio is located in Amsterdam, near the Van Gogh museum where we can study the original works. Our paintings are all painted in oil on canvas by mainly Dutch artists who have studied Van Gogh's technique, including brushstrokes, color mixing, atmosphere and the rhythm of painting.Consoling flowers
Van Gogh's love for painting flowers is evident in his artwork, as he created numerous stunning pieces depicting various blooms. Despite facing financial struggles, he never gave up on his passion for art and continued to paint flowers throughout his career. In fact, he found solace in the simple beauty of these natural wonders, and painting them was a source of joy and comfort for him.Flowers as cheap models
For Van Gogh, who had difficulty selling his work and earning a living, the affordability of painting flowers was a significant factor in his choice to feature them in his art. He recognized that flowers were a cost-effective subject matter and could be executed with relatively low expenses. In his own words, he stated his appreciation for this aspect of painting flowers.Vincent van Gogh to Horace Mann Livens from Paris in 1886:
"And now for what regards what I myself have been doing, I have lacked money for paying models, else I had entirely given myself to figure painting but I have made a series of colour studies in painting simply flowers, red poppies, blue corn flowers and myosotys. White and rose roses, yellow chrysanthemums."Buy a hand-painted reproduction of Van Gogh's Red Poppies and Daisies
