- When the painting you want to order is in stock ("Now in Stock" mentioned where you select size) we usually send it the day after your order and estimated delivery outside of Europe by DHL is 3-4 days later.

- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.

- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

About this painting
The Potato Eaters is Van Gogh’s most famous homage to peasants. It depicts, hard working honest people living a harsh life, eating the fruits of their labor.
Cottages like the one of the De Groot family were called human bird’s nests by Vincent. With that in mind we found a beautiful matching frame at an auction. It combines a bulky dark base with a lot of character combined with the warmth of red velvet; a bird’s nest for Van Gogh’s painting.
This 1,5 kg Italian frame is from the second half of the 19th century, just like Van Gogh, and is in good condition with just small signs of ageing.
Frame size: 48 x 52,5 cm / 18.9 x 20.7 inch
Painting size: 31,2 x 36,2 cm / 12.3 x 14.2 inch
