Wheat Field with Crows Replica on Canvas: a Dramatic Reproduction

Van Gogh Studio is based in Amsterdam, nearby the Van Gogh museum where we continue to study the original works. Our paintings are all hand-painted by Dutch and world artists starting out on their own individual careers. They have studied the technique of Van Gogh, including brush strokes, colour mixing, ambience and rhythm of application.

Van Gogh’s Words

Wheat Field With Crows has had many different interpretations attributed to it. The circling crows, a path leading to nowhere in particular, and an ominous, moody sky have given people cause to assume that this was Van Gogh’s farewell to the earth, and to the nature he so dearly loved.
Van Gogh himself wrote to his brother Theo at the time, saying that he was working on a few large canvases, depicting immense stretches of wheat fields under turbulent skies. He was pleased about some breakthroughs he was having, including finding a way to express sadness in these paintings along with an extreme loneliness. Not the final painting many people believed.

Wheat Field With Crows to be Van Gogh’s final painting.

This too was partly because the painting itself seems to depict so much turmoil that it was assumed to be the point at which Van Gogh finally went over the edge. It was most certainly painted in the final week of the artists life, but it is not believed to be the last.

Art historians are unsure of the exact piece that was Van Gogh’s last, at varying times it has been believed The Fields, Field With Stacks Of Wheat, Tree Roots, and Daubigny’s Garden were the last. It will most likely never be known which one was his final canvas.

This painting was exactly what I was looking for and my husband was thrilled to see it hanging on our wall after I had it framed. The colors and thick Van Gogh style brush stokes are gorgeous. This is exactly what I was hoping for! I asked Erik if the brushstrokes were really like Van Gogh’s painings. I was able to see my painting for approval. As soon as the painting was dry it was shipped very fast to the USA by UPS. In person it is even better!

Thank you so much, Sandra.

My wife was extremely happy to receive her Van Gogh on her birthday. The Wheatfield with Crows has been her favorite since we visited the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. All the best, Max.

My wife likes the paintings, especially the one I bought for her. We have already taken them to the framing shop.
