- When the painting you want to order is in stock ("Now in Stock" mentioned where you select size) we usually send it the day after your order and estimated delivery outside of Europe by DHL is 3-4 days later.
Please view the Van Gogh reproductions in stock by clicking here.
When the painting of your choice is not in stock, delivery usually takes 6 - 7 weeks.
- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.
This video may help to select the right frame at your local framer.
- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

About this painting
Death and the Girl by Frans van Kuyck, replica in oil on canvas
Van Gogh Studio is based close to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Our painters, mainly from the Netherlands, recreate each work by hand in oil on canvas, with close attention to the original artist’s colours, composition and brushwork.A young life and the passing of time
The title brings two thoughts together: a young life and its inevitable end. Death and the Girl invites us to reflect on the passing of time and the fragility of life.It is a subject that leaves room for your own response. You might find it unsettling, moving or quietly thought-provoking. Living with a painting like this gives you time to discover what it means to you.
About Frans van Kuyck
Frans van Kuyck (1852–1915) was a Belgian painter, draughtsman and printmaker from Antwerp. Born into a family of artists, he learned from his father and his uncle, the landscape painter Frans Lamorinière.His work included portraits, landscapes and scenes of everyday life. He later became Antwerp’s alderman for Fine Arts and helped preserve the city’s historic buildings.
A connection with Van Gogh
Van Kuyck and Vincent van Gogh both studied at Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, though at different times. Van Kuyck later taught at the academy, starting in 1895, several years after Vincent’s brief period of study there in early 1886.There is also a connection through Van Kuyck’s uncle and teacher, Frans Lamorinière. During his stay in Antwerp in 1885–1886, Vincent viewed Lamorinière’s landscapes in the city’s museum.
