Frequently asked questions
- Are your paintings hand-painted or printed?
- All our Van Gogh reproductions are hand-painted in oil on canvas. You will not only see, but also feel and smell the brush strokes. Just like the original Van Gogh paintings.
- What are your delivery times?
- When the painting you want to order is in stock ("Now in Stock" mentioned where you select size) we usually send it the day after your order and estimated delivery outside of Europe by DHL is 3-4 days later.
Please view the Van Gogh reproductions in stock by clicking here.
When the painting of your choice is not in stock, delivery usually takes 6 - 7 weeks.
- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of small paintings with antique frames.
This video may help to select the right frame at your local framer.
- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

Product description
Van Gogh copied Hiroshige’s ‘Bridge in the Rain’ in his own typical style. Vincent not only loved the Japanese woodblock prints. He also admired the Japanese way of living. "Isn’t it almost a new religion that these Japanese teach us, who are so simple and live in nature as if they themselves were flowers?….. All my work is based to some extent on Japanese art."
This detail of Van Gogh’s 'Bridge in the rain’ that highlights three Japanese, is larger than the original detail. It is our homage to Hiroshige and Van Gogh at the same time. It hopefully inspires you as well to see the beauty around us. Even on a rainy day.
It took a while to find the frame that this painting deserved. But this Italian frame from the 70’s with beautiful handmade ornaments in each corner is a winner. The colors really stand out and the natural but original look of the frame give it that Japanese powerful simplicity. "Their work is as simple as breathing, and they do a figure with a few confident strokes with the same ease as if it was as simple as buttoning your waistcoat."
Frame size: 36 x 35,5 cm / 14.2 x 14 inch
Painting size: 21,7 x 21,8 cm / 8.5 x 8.5 inch
