Are your paintings hand-painted or printed?

All our Van Gogh reproductions are hand-painted in oil on canvas. You will not only see, but also feel and smell the brush strokes. Just like the original Van Gogh paintings.

What are your delivery times?

When the painting you want to order is in stock ("Now in Stock" mentioned where you select size) we usually send it the day after your order and estimated delivery outside of Europe by DHL is 3-4 days later. Please view the Van Gogh reproductions in stock by clicking here . When the painting of your choice is not in stock, delivery usually takes 6 - 7 weeks.

Do the paintings come framed?

No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames . This video may help to select the right frame at your local framer.

Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?

We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you. Clich here for more info, menu, link for reservation etc.

About this painting

After Van Gogh died in 1890 his Irises painting was sold more than 10 times. In 1990 the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, California bought it and it will probably never sell again.

In case you do not have the opportunity to see the original in the Getty Center this small version replica, hand-painted in oil on canvas, may be your best alternative.

This mid 20th century frames shows that a relatively small painting combined with a larger frame creates a piece of art with a lot of body. Especially when like in this case the frame lifts the green of irises with the black in the frame while the gold brings up the warmer parts of the painting.
