Wheat Field with Cypresses framed Van Gogh replica, hand-painted in oil on canvas

For Van Gogh it was nearly too intense to paint the cypresses:

“In my case the emotions that take hold of me in the face of nature go as far as fainting, and then the result is a fortnight during which I am incapable of working. However, before leaving here, I am planning to return to the fray to attack the cypresses.”

But just outside of the asylum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence Vincent managed to paint 3 versions of his now world famous Wheat Field with Cypresses.

This amazing Italian frame from the end of the 19th century seemed 100% perfect for the painting, but the proportions were slightly too wide to match the original dimensions. We painted a little extra landscape on the left hand side. Did this create even more depth to the painting? You could be the owner of a 'unique replica’ this way!
