Van Gogh Studio is located in Amsterdam, near the Van Gogh museum where we can study the original works. Our paintings are all painted in oil on canvas by mainly Dutch artists who have studied Van Gogh's technique, including brushstrokes, color mixing, atmosphere and the rhythm of painting.

Vincent van Gogh wrote to his brother:

"If they don't mow the meadow I'd like to do this study again, because the subject matter was really beautiful and I had trouble finding the composition. A little town surrounded by countryside entirely covered in yellow and purple flowers. That would really be a Japanese dream, you know."

Purple flowers?

The red paint was not stable at that time. So over the years some of Van Gogh’s paintings have changed. His purple colors turned blue, orange changed into yellow or less bright orange and red paint changed into less bright red or even green and brown.

They are absolutely beautiful. I had them stretched and they have really brightened up and made my kitchen feel so much nicer!

We could not be happier with the beautiful custom reproduction of Van Gogh's Field with Irises Near Arles oil painting. I asked Erik if they could include a rendition of a young couple with a flower cart similar to a Lladro figurine we bought years ago as a memento of our first date, a bicycle ride in town. The final result is pure perfection with the inserted couple painted in the same style as Van Gogh and the rest of this already beautiful artwork. Erik and his team were especially responsive to all the details, and I was delighted with how quickly and professionally everything was handled. Many thanks to a treasure that we are sure to enjoy for many years!
