- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.

- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

About this painting
In 1888 Vincent van Gogh painted this formation of rocks near the 1100-year-old abbey of Montmajour, 6 km from Arles. Not only the oak tree but also Van Gogh conquered the strong and cold mistral wind.
A few years before Van Gogh made merely dark paintings of peasants and weavers. The light of the South of France was ideal to paint even a rugged rocky terrain colorful. Development at full blast.
The gold and copper tones of this beautiful early 20th century pine tree frame brings out the blue, green and yellow tones of the painting. The frame is in very good condition considering its age. The cracks in the wood and stucco give it the character that this rough landscape deserves.
