Frequently asked questions
- Are your paintings hand-painted or printed?
- All our Van Gogh reproductions are hand-painted in oil on canvas. You will not only see, but also feel and smell the brush strokes. Just like the original Van Gogh paintings.
- What are your delivery times?
- When the painting you want to order is in stock ("Now in Stock" mentioned where you select size) we usually send it the day after your order and estimated delivery outside of Europe by DHL is 3-4 days later.
Please view the Van Gogh reproductions in stock by clicking here.
When the painting of your choice is not in stock, delivery usually takes 6 - 7 weeks.
- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of small paintings with antique frames.
This video may help to select the right frame at your local framer.
- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

Product description
‘Dove of Peace’ – A tribute to Picasso by Geert Jan Jansen
This elegant work by Geert Jan Jansen, once a renowned art forger turned celebrated artist in his own right, pays tribute to Pablo Picasso’s iconic Dove of Peace. Inspired by Picasso’s original drawing—created in 1949 for the World Peace Congress in Paris—Jansen offers a heartfelt homage that reflects the timeless hope embodied in the simplest of forms.Picasso’s dove became a global symbol of peace in the aftermath of war: a pure, unadorned line that spoke volumes. Jansen’s interpretation respects this minimalism while adding his own nuance. The contours are faithful yet subtly reimagined, and the hand behind them, once hidden in imitation, now speaks with clarity and intent.
From forger to messenger
Once known for his ability to replicate the greats, Jansen now uses that same mastery to celebrate them. In this work, he doesn’t forge Picasso—he echoes him. The dove, rendered in fluid lines with quiet confidence, carries not only an olive branch but a message of rebirth—for the world, and for the artist himself.Picasso believed that art could be “a weapon against ignorance and a beacon for peace.” Jansen’s dove carries that legacy forward. What was once a symbol drawn for a congress now becomes a personal emblem: peace through truth, creation through transformation.
