Frequently asked questions
- Are your paintings hand-painted or printed?
- All our Van Gogh reproductions are hand-painted in oil on canvas. You will not only see, but also feel and smell the brush strokes. Just like the original Van Gogh paintings.
- What are your delivery times?
- When the painting you want to order is in stock ("Now in Stock" mentioned where you select size) we usually send it the day after your order and estimated delivery outside of Europe by DHL is 3-4 days later.
Please view the Van Gogh reproductions in stock by clicking here.
When the painting of your choice is not in stock, delivery usually takes 6 - 7 weeks.
- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.
This video may help to select the right frame at your local framer.
- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

About this painting
Vincent van Gogh painted ‘Cows’ in 1890 based on a 1873 Paul van Ryssel etching that Gachet owned of Jacob Jordaens's 'Study of Five Cows’.
1,5 years before Van Gogh saw the 1648 painting 'Cows in the pasture’ by Paulus Potter in the Musée Fabre in Montpellier.
We found a frame for the hand-painted reproduction of Cows with a similar feel. Aren’t the big water lily corners of this 70-year-old a bit like cows? They give the painting that happy look that you may experience when you watch these funny but smart animals.
Frame size: 37,8 x 43 cm / 14.9 x 16.9 inch
Painting size: 23,7 x 18,7 cm / 9.3 x 7.4 inch
