- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.

- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

About this painting
This frame from the first half of the 20th century seems to be made for the peasant woman binding sheaves. The copper like glow of this wooden frame gives the peasant woman the grace that Van Gogh probably liked. Inspired by Millet Van Gogh loved painting farmers already in Nuenen, and always in a respectful way. He admired these hard working honest people.
When Van Gogh moved to the South of France he painted the same topic again but brightly colored. This particular one is a Millet copy, but created in Van Gogh’s own way. To Vincent copying was like a musician interpreting another composer’s work. And by doing so he would help to move art in general another step into the future.
