This is the café Van Gogh would frequent when he lived in the Yellow House. Many nights were spent in the establishment and in 1888, over three nights, Van Gogh painted his impression of the place.

- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.

- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

Van Gogh Studio is located in Amsterdam, near the Van Gogh museum where we can study the original works. Our paintings are all painted in oil on canvas by mainly Dutch artists who have studied Van Gogh's technique, including brushstrokes, color mixing, atmosphere and the rhythm of painting.Terrible Passions of Humanity
In The Night Café Van Gogh wanted to explore the darker aspects of the human soul. In a letter to his brother he wrote: ‘I have tried to express the terrible passions of humanity by means of red and green’.As time has gone on, the painting has become one of Van Gogh’s masterpieces, it has an expressionistic power in it’s moody colour construction and it’s lonely central character surrounded by other slouching drinkers.
Later on in a letter to Theo he mentioned how much this work, and The Sower, at first seemed ugly and bad, but when he is moved by something himself: ‘then these are the only ones which appear to have any deep meaning.’
