- Do the paintings come framed?
- No, we send the paintings rolled in a hard plastic tube for maximum protection. To ship frames would also be very expensive and there is more chance of damage. We do have a selection of smaller paintings with antique frames.

- Can we visit Van Gogh Studio in Amsterdam?
- We don't have a gallery at the moment. But you are welcome at Bistrot Neuf at Haarlemmerstraat 9 in Amsterdam for a Van Gogh Menu lunch. During lunch, hand-painted replicas by Van Gogh Studio hang on the walls around you.

The series of sunflowers that were painted by Van Gogh in Arles were meant to be a part of decorations for a studio that he was planning to share with his good friend, Paul Gauguin.However, the idea for a studio never came to life, as Gauguin and Van Gogh’s relationship slowly deteriorated. This led to a confrontation where Van Gogh threatened Gauguin with a razor blade, and in a bizarre series of events, proceeded to cut his left ear off later that day.

Van Gogh had always displayed an interest in the growth of flora and this series of paintings feature the growth of fifteen sunflowers bursting out of a simple earthen pot.A lot of textural variations with thick layers of paint give this painting a post impressionist appearance. Just came home from Amsterdam after a visit to Van Gogh Studio. Erik showed me some fantastic oil reproduction of Van Gogh’s work. Before I went I had already decided to buy ”Almond in blossum”. On the way home I regretted that I did not buy a couple more paintings availble so I did an additional order over the net and bought a couple of Van Gogh Studio reproductions. They all look amazing. .
Earlier I bought ”15 sunflowers in a vase” printed on canvas from Van Gogh museum. It’s nothing wrong with this one but it looks quite flat and dull in comparison. To get that vibrant texture you want you do need a quality oil reproduction done.
I have bought one or two oil reproductions earlier over the net but was dissapointed to say the least. Poor quality in the finish. Van Gogh Studio however have some really good artist doing the work.
You can of course, if money is no object, buy a 3 D print from Van Gogh museum from the ”Relievo collections” for 25.000 Euro each, but I doubt that non experts like me will enjoy it that much more.
